There are just something about Thomas’ amp constructions, they just look so “right”. Right On!

I am gearing up for my “Thomas” build 😉 Will post the result when it is ready, might be awhile though… Getting quality parts here in China is not so easy.

if you have difficulty to find parts, I might be able to help. I can supply all parts for my amp designs. BTW: I am in Shanghai a couple times each year. Maybe we can meet up next time?

Thanks for your kind offer, please let me know when you will be in Shanghai, and we will definitely get together. As for the parts, when I said hard, perhaps I was exaggerating a bit, I mean, I could just pay for the Lundahl’s, Tamura’s, James, etc. and have them shipped to me. But being the cheapskate that I am, I would like to source them locally if I can, it is actually part of the fun for me – to track down the various parts needed for the build.
Plus, I want to get the basic design and build techniques down before spending the big bucks on good parts, I think it is very likely that I will damage or ruin them given my relative lack of experience with high-end builds, while I have built quite a few amps (all guitar amps), I have not done one for hi-fi. And as you know, the requirements for geetar amps are somewhat lower than “hi-fi” builds 😉
Anyway, looking forward to your visit and meeting you in person.
